August Robert Nicosia, age 78, of Manchester Township, New Jersey passed away on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at home. He was born on November 7, 1946, in Newark, NJ as the son of the late Josephine and August Nicosia. August retired from a career with New Jersey Transit. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his beloved grandchildren. August enjoyed playing cards with his family and friends. August is survived by his beloved wife, Theresa Nicosia; his sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen Nicosia and his wife Nicole, and Russell Nicosia and his wife Brooke; and three grandchildren, Liam, Josephine, and Nathan. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. His funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the BG William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
