Benjamin J. Barsolona Jr.

Benjamin J. Barsolona Jr., passed peacefully on Monday, January 24, 2022, surrounded by his family. Born and raised in Bayonne, he was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the Korean War. He traveled the world as an entertainer and brought joy and laughter wherever he performed. In his later years, he worked as a court officer for Hudson County Superior Court. He retired to Toms River after 18 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, Atlantic City and horseracing.

He was predeceased by his parents Benjamin J. Barsolona Sr, and Mary Barsolona (Sclafane) and is survived by the love of his life for 32 years, Dolores, his children; Benjamin J. Barsolona III, Michele (Patrick) Norton, Steven (Lynn) Barsolona, and his sister Deanna Steiger, his grandchildren; Ashli (Anthony) Cortese, Makala Barsolona, Benjamin (Eden) Barsolona IV, Anthony Barsolona, Steven Barsolona II, Jeffrey Barsolona, Alex Barsolona and Julian Barsolona, his great grandchildren; Christopher Messinger II, Nico Messinger, Domenico Cortese and Benjamin Barsolona V.

Visitation will be held Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 1pm to 5 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 10:30 am at the funeral home with interment to follow to the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown, NJ at 12:30 pm.
