Betty Rubright, 93, of Whiting, New Jersey, passed away on March 3, 2026. Born on March 3, 1933, in Star City, West Virginia, she was faithful, devoted, kind-hearted, and honest throughout her life. After her early years, she was raised in Rahway, New Jersey.
Mrs. Rubright was formerly employed by Radio Corporation of America “RCA” in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
She was the wife of the late Frank B. Rubright, who passed away in 2012, and the mother of the late Wayne Rubright. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Rooney and her husband Michael; her grandchildren, Michele Sgro and her husband Anthony, and William Sutter, III. and his wife Elizabeth; and her great-grandchildren, Jayden Sgro, Alena Sutter, and Abigail Sutter.
A devoted presence in her community, Mrs. Rubright was active in her church choir and enjoyed attending Curves to exercise alongside her fellow friends.
Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, March 9, 2026 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Her funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the BG William C. Doyle NJ Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd., Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
