Carl Olson, 93, of Toms River passed away on Thursday June 6th, 2013 at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care in Toms River. Born in Henderson, IL, he resided in High Bridge, NJ and Union, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1983. He was a World War II Army Veteran serving from 1944-1946. Carl worked as an auto mechanic at various Chevrolet Dealers throughout New Jersey and was a member of the Silver Ridge Men’s Bowling Club. Surviving are his loving wife of 72 years Rose, sons Gary Olson and Patricia Velardi of Toms River and Carl Jr. and wife Peggy Olson of Meadville, PA, 5 grandchildren Kelly, Holly, Gary, Jr., Craig and Shawn and 5 great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday June 11th, 2013 from 10am-12pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Service will be offered at 12pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the New Jersey Veteran’s Cemetery.
