Born in Jersey City, she lived in various towns before settling in Toms River in 1992. In 2020 she retired to South Carolina.
Prior to retiring, Charneen was an accountant and most recently worked for American Van in Lakewood. Her favorite things included spending time with family, traveling, baking, and sewing, many times combining them all. Family vacations included trips to Gatlinburg, Las Vegas, Branson, Hawaii, and many camping trips. She enjoyed being in the mountains and hiking, like when she hiked in Shenandoah National Park. There were always family barbecues in the backyard filled with loved ones. Every year she would bake her grandchildren's birthday cakes and her amazing Christmas cookies that were passed around to all the extended family. She had an artistic side as well. She made all the dresses for her sister's wedding and even painted the school mascot on the gym floor of her childrens elementary school. Most of all she enjoyed being around and doing things with her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Bob in 2021.
Surviving are her children: John Leone and his wife Katie, Daniel Leone and his wife Danielle, Lisa Leone, Rob Camarro and his wife Kate, and Jessica Shannon and her husband Ryan; her grandchildren: Alexander, Zachary, Autumn, Nathaniel, Arianna, Clarissa, Josh, Jillian, Eva, Chevy, Austin, and Daxton; her siblings: Vincent Heitzman and his wife Gracia, Charlie Heitzmann and his wife Brenda, Janet Heitzmann and her husband Wayne, Laurie Obrizan and her husband Paul, and Sheri Lichtenberg and her husband Carl; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
