Dolores Marie Irving

Dolores Marie Irving, age 96, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024. Dolores was born in Newark, New Jersey on January 9, 1928 as the daughter of the late Marie and Arthur Baudendistel. Wife of the late Edward J. Irving who died in 2013, Dolores is survived by 6 children, 12 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Dolores loved life. She enjoyed the sun and the sand between her toes. Her greatest love was for all her animals, the ones inside and out, but especially her Buttons. Dolores had a passion for listening to everyone’s story…..then repeating it verbatim to keep friends and family informed. She would talk for hours on the phone, then settle down to watch the Mets or stroll outside to feed the deer. She made the best half cooked food you ever had and never left home without her lipstick. Most of all, she was Mom to all who walked through her door. Her boys teased and made her laugh and family meant the world to her.

Relatives and friends will be received on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Her funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in the BG William C. Doyle New Jersey Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Road, Wrightstown, NJ 08562.
