Donna Marie Simione (Radesco) passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, leaving behind a lifetime of love, devotion, and care for those fortunate enough to be part of her family.
Donna was born in Staten Island, New York, to the late Anthony Joseph Radesco and Marie Rita Lalima. She graduated from Saint Peter’s High School in 1970. As their cherished only child, she was deeply loved by her parents and remained devotedly close to them throughout her life.
Donna is survived by her beloved 97-year-old aunt, Grace Curatolo, as well as many cousins, all of whom she loved dearly and shared a lifetime of family memories with.
In 1974, Donna married the love of her life, Thomas Simione. Together, they built a life centered on family, loyalty, and unwavering support for one another. Donna devoted herself fully to her role as a homemaker and caretaker, always putting the needs of others before her own. She was the heart of her family. Donna was the one who made sure everyone was cared for, comforted, and loved.
Donna is survived by her loving daughters, Suzanne Simione Klagholz and Jennifer Bonner, and by her son-in-law, Thomas L. Klagholz, who was truly like a son to her, as well as Jennifer’s husband, Dan Bonner.
But above all, Donna's greatest joy was her beloved grandchildren, Samantha and Tommy. To Nanny, Samantha and Tommy were not only her precious grandchildren—they were her heart, her sunshine, and her greatest treasures. Every moment spent with them filled her with immense pride and happiness, and their laughter and love were the brightest lights in her world. They shared a special bond.
Donna’s kindness, warmth, and quiet strength touched everyone who knew her. Her life was defined by the love she gave so freely to her family and those around her. Donna will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who loved her.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, services will be held privately.
