Doris Jane Hoagland

Age 79 of Toms River passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 24th.

Born in Philadelphia, she was raised in Woodlynne, moving to Beachwood in 1980 and has been a resident of Toms River since 2006. She was a bartender at the Office Lounge in its early years, where she made many friends. Later, she embarked on her E-Commerce career of buying and selling vintage items online.

She loved spending time with her four grandchildren. She was predeceased by her longtime companion Bill Wagenblast and her sister Ann Gallagher. She is survived by her four children Betty Meyers, Joseph Ortyl and his wife Carolyn, Susan Sutton and her husband Michael, and Ken Hoagland. Her four grandchildren Samantha Meyers, Joseph Meyers, Emily Hoagland, and Erica Sutton. Her siblings Kathleen Boccuti, Patricia Crim, Robert Boswell, Theresa Knight, and John Boswell.

Visitation will be held Sunday, January 30, 2022 1 pm to 5 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ. Visitation will also be Monday, January 31st 10 am to 11am with a Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 11:30 am at St. Joseph's RC Church, Toms River. Interment will follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
