Eugene Thomas Bellina

Eugene T. Bellina passed away on February 26th, 2022 at the age of 79. Born and raised in the North Ward of Newark, N.J. in 1942, Eugene was a graduate of Barringer High School in 1960. Eugene married his wife of 50 years in 1972. He and his wife welcomed their son in 1978. He was a resident of Union since the 1970’s before retiring to Toms River in 2014. He was a longshoreman for many years at Port Newark. Prior to this he served as a military police officer stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War, before being Honorably Discharged in 1968. He was an avid sports fan, but especially that of the New York Giants and New York Yankees. He loved passing time fishing and crabbing. He enjoyed vacations in Seaside Heights with his large extended family and was very proud of his Italian heritage. Predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Angelina, and sister-in-law Carolyn, he is survived by his beloved wife, Rosalind; loving son, Michael, cherished Brother, Richard, sister-in-law, Arlene, brother-in-law, Stanley, nieces, Christine (Eric) and Corinne (Vinny), nephew, Rich (Susanne), and many great nieces and nephews: Eric (Michelle), Tyler (Ashley), Jenna, Brielle, Chase, Elianna, Kieran and Bayleigh.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 from 4 pm to 8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. Funeral Services will begin promptly at 7 pm. Cremation will be private.
