

Florence was born in Jersey City to Frank and Carmella Boffa, later to be joined by her sister Vivian to complete their family. Florence attended Saint Aedan Elementary School and Lincoln High School in Jersey City. Upon graduating, Florence worked at Federal Wine and Liquor Company where she typed and recorded all company orders. Florence met the love of her life, Joseph Muccilo and married on August 4, 1945. They had two daughters, Patricia and Camille and the family moved to Roselle Park, NJ. Upon retiring, Joseph and Florence settled in Whiting, New Jersey for 45 years.
Florence is predeceased by her husband, Joseph and daughter Patricia. Surviving are her daughter Camille and husband Howard Harte, granddaughters, Michelle and husband, Michael, Critelli, Kelly and husband Patrick O’Callaghan, and great grandchildren who loved her dearly, Lauren, Brian, his wife Nathalia, Jessica Critelli and Michael O’Callaghan.
Throughout her life, Florence cared for her aging and ill family members. She will always be remembered for living her life faithfully and selflessly. A family celebration was held March 4, 2025 on her 100th birthday where family members and friends gathered in love to celebrate a life well lived.
Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Monday May 12, 2025 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday May 13, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08755. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery 1100 East Broad St. Westfield, NJ 07090.
