Ida J. DeBlasio

She was born and raised by her parents Anthony and Mary (Libonati) Montemarano on 8/31/30 in Greenwich Village, NY where she met and married her loving husband John of 66 years who predeceased her in 2017. John and Ida initially began their family in NY, however later moved to Lexington Place in Elizabeth, NJ (i.e. “the country”) where they met many lifelong friends who would later become their extended family. She enjoyed reminiscing about their years on Lexington Place where doors remained unlocked, friends/neighbors were always available to help and time was spent sitting on the stoop drinking coffee while watching the children play.

Some of Ida’s most favorite memories include many long summers vacationing in Keansburg, NJ where the days were spent at the beach/fishing/crabbing and evenings enjoying delicious home cooked meals at tables so full of family and friends they’d often extend more than one room. She will be most remembered for her meticulous cleaning and excellent cooking abilities, her vibrant garden on Lower Rd. and being a friend who’d always help and who you could always depend on.

Ida most enjoyed Zeppoles, spending time in AC with Aunt Diane and Uncle Didi, animals (cats/ferrets) and spending time with her grandchildren (both human and animal) Nicholas (Maria), Matthew (Diana), Keri (Keith), Adam (Caitlin), Kailin (Joe) and great grandchildren Jaden, Gianna, Jace, Dylan, Jamie, Dani, Frankie, Keeley, Ani, Quinn and Mini. She is predeceased by her sisters Charlotte (Jackie), Beatrice (Nor) and Maria (John); nephews/nieces Anthony, Junior, Bobby and Joyce and great niece Tanya. Ida is survived by her children John (Terri), Joanne and Judy; grandcat Calina Christina and her “adoptive daughter” Patty Kaczorowski.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026 from 2pm-5pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home located at 26 Mule Rd, Toms River, NJ 08757.
