James “Jim” Brennan, 75, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Sunday September 15, 2019 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, Jim lived in Bayonne and then Matawan for many years before moving to Toms River 10 years ago. He was an ironworker for 15 years. Jim enjoyed fishing, painting/drawing, cooking, gardening, watching Giants and Yankees games and loved spending time with family and friends.
Jim is survived by his loving companion of 28 years Diane Donner; two daughters, Carrie and Peter Jacobsen of Hoboken and Stacey and Chancey Costa of Middletown; four grandchildren, Alexa, Kristen, Chancey Jr. and Alyssa; his sisters Dorothy Moore and her husband James and Carol Kidd and her husband Doug. Jim was also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Patricia Brennan and his brother Thomas Brennan.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday September 20, 2019 from 4 to 8 pm at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral service will take place at 7:30 PM.
