

James J. Donnelly, 78, of Toms River passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at his daughter’s home. Born on January 8, 1932 in Bayonne, he lived in Roselle for 40 years before moving to Toms River 7 years ago.
Mr. Donnelly was a Korean War veteran of the US Army. He was also a technician for United States Testing Company in Hoboken and a member of the American Legion in Roselle.
Mr. Donnelly was predeceased by his wife Margaret A. Donnelly in 2009 and his two sisters, Ruth McGillis and June Doyle. He is survived by his three children; James D. Donnelly of Wall, Kelly A. Correa of Millstone Twp. and Robert C. Donnelly of Roselle Park, and his six grandchildren; Leanne, Shannon, Erin, Kaitlyn, Karly and Lauren. He is also survived by his brother, Edward Donnelly of Stuart, FL and his sister, Ethel Linquist of Wilkes Barre, PA.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, Aug 3rd from 2-4 & 7-9pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, NJ. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent in his name to the Disabled American Veterans, PO Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
