James D. Hughes 49 of Toms River passed away Tuesday June 28, 2011 at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care Toms River, NJ. Born in Belleville, NJ he resided in Nutley prior to moving to Toms River in 1996. James was a proud member of the National Rifle Association for many years. He was predeceased by his father Daniel Hughes in 2001, brother Danny Hughes and sister Jane Hughes. Surviving are his mother Ruth Hughes(Berry) and brother David Hughes. Visitation will be Friday July 1, 2011 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at The Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A prayer service will be at 8pm. Interment will be private.
