John M. Frammigen

John M. Frammigen, 65, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Wednesday October 11, 2023 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ surrounded by his family. John was a lifelong resident of Elizabeth, NJ before moving to Toms River in 1992. John had worked for many years for the Elizabeth Board of Education.

John was a member of Toms River Elks Lodge 1875 serving as Exalted Ruler for 2 years as well as Lodge Trustee. The joy his time at the Elks gave him and the friendships he formed were immeasurable. He put countless hours into charity events and enjoyed being a part of the Bingo Committee, General Charity Committee, Elks National Foundation Committee, Bocce, Southeast District Plunge Committee and was Southeast District Hoop Shoot Chairperson.

John was predeceased by his parents Vincent and Shirley (Hargrove) Frammigen, his ‘Mom and Dad’ John and Noella Gillespie, his brothers Edward and Bernard, brothers in law John A Gillespie and Clifford Millette as well as his sister Alice and sister in law Doris Gillespie.

John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Laura Gillespie Frammigen; his son John (Susan) Frammigen; his daughter Erin Leporino (Anthony); and the lights of his life, his two grandchildren Anthony John and Lorynn Mackenzie. Also surviving are his brother Vincent (Pat), brother in law Terence Gillespie, sisters Pat, Helen, Irene and Lillian and sister in law Noella Millette as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday October 15, 2023 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. An Elks service will be held at 3:00 pm and a funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm. Cremation will be private.
