

John J. Janko, 70, of Manchester, New Jersey passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his home on Saturday, April 19, 2025. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he had lived in Nutley, NJ for 30 years before moving to Leisure Knoll in Manchester, NJ, 3 years ago. John graduated Marist High School and St. Peter's University, Jersey City with a degree in Accounting. John worked with BMW of North America, Woodcliff Lake, NJ for many years.
John enjoyed everything sports, especially following his favorite teams; the Yankees, the Giants and the Rangers. He also enjoyed bowling, softball and gardening.
John was predeceased by his parents William and Edna Janko, his brother, William Janko and is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Diane (nee Fay), his brother Robert Janko and his wife Karen, his niece Kyra and his two nephews, Sean and Douglas. Also surviving are his great nieces and nephews and loving cousins, extended family and many lifelong friends.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, 2-6 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 11:00 am at St. Mary's RC Church, Nutley, NJ. Interment will follow to Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
