Joseph F. Marotta

Joseph F. Marotta, 85 of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side at his home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Born in Hoboken to the late Michael and Mary Marotta, Joe had lived in Jersey City and Rutherford where he raised his family of six children before moving to Toms River 23 years ago. Joe worked as a Truck Driver for Ward Trucking for 25 years then went to work for Marriott Corporation for 16 years where he met the love of his life Patricia.

Joe proudly served his country with the United State Army from 1955-1958.

Joe enjoyed fishing, playing cards with the boys on Tuesday night and his many trips to Atlantic City. He was involved in many activities in the community of Holiday City, Phase 1 in Toms River.

Joe was predeceased by his parents, Michael and Mary Marotta, his son Craig Marotta and his grandson Michael. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Angelo, Rosemary and Michael and the mother of his six children Elaine. Surviving is the love of his life of 28 years Patricia Picone, his five children; Joseph, Brian, Anthony, Peter and Kim, his 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Also Joe is survived by his extended family by Patricia of two children and five grandchildren whom he loved unconditionally.
