

He was born in Woodbridge, New Jersey to the late John and Rose Takacs in 1942. Joseph moved to Aberdeen Township where he lived most of his life, later settling in Toms River in 1999. In 1959, he joined the United States Navy where he proudly served his country, entering the reserved in 1965. Prior to retiring, he worked for NU Vision in Florida as a Corporate Food Service Director for over 40 years. Aside from work, Joseph enjoyed boating, drag racing and had a strong passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He was survived by his loving wife Donna of 33 years; His two daughter Dawn Casale and Shana Masi and son-in-law Ross Masi; His step-daughter Heather Machado and son-in-law Roman Joseph Machado; His five grandchildren Anthony Casale, Ryan Casale, Chailee Mariconda, Brianne Baskerville, and Marisa Acquaro; His step-granddaughter Maya Machado and step-grandson Elias Machado; His twelve great-grandchildren and many many friends.
A Memorial Gathering will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 2:00 - 4:00 pm with services to begin at 3:30 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, New Jersey 08755.
