

Larry was born March 22, 1947 in Gettysburg, PA to George and Edna Dickson. In December of 1947 his family moved to Hackensack, NJ . He was the youngest of 5 children. He lived in Bergen County for almost 48 years, before moving to Ocean County with his beloved wife Beverly.
Larry was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather, and friend. His passing has left an empty space in the hearts of his children and grandchild.
Prior to moving to Ocean County he was a lead custodian for Little Ferry School Systems for 15 + years. He worked as an assistant superintendent for an apartment complex in Toms River. In his down time he volunteered as a safety patrol of the community they lived in. He enjoyed his time as a member of the Old Guards.
Larry was called home to join his beloved wife Beverly of 44 years. He joins his parents George and Edna Dickson, his oldest sister Joan Woods, sister Louise (Karl) Nakaten, and his two brothers Glenn and Frank Dickson.
Larry is survived by his daughters Linda Wanamaker and her husband John, and his daughter JoAnn Dickson and partner Michael Sers. He leaves behind his only grandson and his buddy George Dickson. Larry also leaves behind his great-granddaughter Grace Dickson or as he would call her his Baby Doll. Also left to feel the loss of Larry’s passing is his brother in-law of 69 years John Woods.
He is also survived by his sister-inlaw Laura(Ken) Jones, brother in-laws William McNeill, Harry(JoAnn) McNeill, and Michael(Pam) McNeill. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Larry will be held Tuesday, June 13, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. There will also be visitation on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755 where a funeral service will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 56 Cedar Grove Road, Toms River, NJ 08753.
