

Born in Garfield, he resided in San Diego, CA, before settling in Whiting 17 years ago.
Louis spent most of his career in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and the Vietnam War. He honorably served our country for 22 years, retiring as a Master Gunnery Sergeant. After retiring, he worked in social services for San Diego County. More than anything, he was a very proud Marine.
He was predeceased by his son, Randolph; his parents, Raphael and Rosalia; and his siblings: Anthony, Joseph, and Rose.
Surviving are his loving wife of 17 years, Helen; his daughter, Patty Babcock and her husband Ken; his nephew, Richard Turano and his wife Irene; and many other nieces and nephews; his step-daughters: MaryEllen Magrini and her husband Don, and Beth Valenti and her husband Carl; and his grandchildren: Paul, Glenn and his wife Tricia, Eric and his wife Danielle, Nicole, and Kristen and her fiancé Gary; his great-grandchildren: Cole, Brynn, and Presley. Lou had a special relationship with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was affectionately known to them as "GLou."
Services are held under the direction of Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, Toms River and will be private.
