Louise was born and raised in Paterson, New Jersey where she resided until she moved to Ocean County NJ almost 30 years ago. In Paterson, she was employed for many years using her seamstress skills running a machine in the coat-making industry. But Louise’s true gift was being a loving and devoted mother to her daughters, Renee and Angela. Louise was very family-oriented and looked forward to bringing the girls every Sunday afternoon to her parents’ home in Paterson. Her two brothers, Phil and Lou, and her three sisters, Jenny, Cecelia and Antoinette, their spouses and all their children would also be there on Sundays, making many memory-making family gatherings.
Once relocating to Ocean County from Paterson, Louise quickly settled into her new life at Leisure Village West. She made many new friends and enjoyed many of the community's activities including boccia, aquacise, Mahjong, Rummikub, cards, and shooting pool. But her proudest accomplishment was when she and her team won the couples ping-pong tournament. You can still see her name on the plaque on the game room wall! Most recently her favorite pastime was doing Word Search Puzzles. She could go through three books weekly.
Louise is survived by her daughter Renee, her loving grandson Michael and his wife Concetta, and her cherished great-grandsons Mikey and Obie. She is also survived by her many wonderful nieces and nephews.
Louise was predeceased by her youngest daughter Angela, her parents, and her five siblings and their spouses.
Louise was a strong woman of faith and a member of Saint John’s Roman Catholic Church in Lakehurst, NJ. She trusted God with her entire heart and soul. Her greatest treasure was her family, and she loved spending time with them.
The last 18 months Louise lived with Renee, and they were blessed with many memory-making moments together. She was kept comfortable on in-home hospice care which was provided by the compassionate team from Angelic Health who were also a tremendous source of support and encouragement to Renee.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd. Toms River, NJ 08755 on Wednesday August 14, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a prayer service at 2:30 pm.
