Mary E Szalay

Mary E. Szalay (nee Comba), 91, of Toms River, NJ passed away on Monday March 7th, 2016 at Holiday Care Center in Berkeley Township, NJ. Born in White Lake, Ontario, she lived there until moving to New York City to attend High School. Mary raised her family in College Point, NY and later moved to Toms River in 1986. She was an avid Bowler and belonged to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Toms River. She was predeceased by her siblings Margaret, Phyllis, Russell, Hilda, Thomas and Iris. Surviving are her husband of 65 years Edward, children Donna Schoettker and husband Eric of Frederick, MD and Martin Szalay and wife Cheryl of Hickory, NC, grandchildren Ryan Szalay, Cara Siebert and husband Geoff, Emma Szalay, Adam Szalay and Kevin Schoettker, sister Alvira Jones of White Lake, Ontario, great grandchildren Evan and Lyla Siebert and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday March 9th, 2016 from 4-7pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755.
