Maureen Niggl

Maureen Niggl, 72, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on September 11, 2025 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick, NJ. Born and raised in the Inwood section of NYC, Maureen started her career as an RN and then advanced to become a Nurse Practitioner.

She and Ralph enjoyed many years in Wappingers Falls, NY before retiring to NJ. After retiring Maureen did some private nursing care. She eventually fully retired and enjoyed life a day at a time with many loving friends and family.

Maureen was predeceased by her husband Ralph Niggl, Sr., her parents Frank and Peggy McNamara and her sister Cathy Tolan. She is survived by her sister Peggy and husband Jim Tenny, her brothers Michael McNamara and his wife Margaret and her brother Thomas McNamara and her brother-in-law John Tolan. Also survived by 7 step-children, 19 step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday September 18, 2025 at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 19, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.
