With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Michael Anthony Lupo, on December 12th, at the age of 31. His vibrant spirit and the love he brought to our lives will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Michael Anthony was an extraordinary young man, whose passion for life was evident in everything he did. A budding mathematician, he had a natural gift for solving problems, and his persistence and his “No Quit” attitude carried over into all aspects of his life and both amazed and inspired all who came in contact with him. His love for learning and his ability to approach challenges with grace and creativity were traits that made him stand out among his peers.
Although Michael Anthony had difficulty with expressive language he would often poetically invent phrases to express his feelings to others such as “apology head” for a headache or “sweaty wet” to describe perspiration.
In his desire to express himself, Michael Anthony possessed a talent for music that transcended his difficulty with words. He developed uncanny skills on his beloved piano keyboards. His music, whether personal favorites from the radio or beautifully self-composed pieces, he was able to touch the hearts of those who heard it. His ability to convey emotion through every note he played was a testament to his soul’s depth and the beauty he carried within him. In the hospital he would entertain the nurses and staff with his playing and they would smile and dance to his music. This brought great joy to him and all who heard it. Whether it was a quiet evening at the piano or sharing his love for music with others, he was always eager to bring joy through his art.
A gifted swimmer, he had a natural affinity for the water, and his dedication to the sport was another example of his personality in the way he would glide through the water in his own self-styled grace which amazed all those who were lucky enough to witness it. He loved the freedom of swimming, often pushing himself to new limits, and his competitive spirit shone through in every movement.
Michael Anthony was also a singer with a voice that could lift spirits and bring comfort to those around him. Whether singing at home or performing for friends and family, his voice was a reflection of his generous heart and love for those he cared about.
But perhaps the most remarkable thing about Michael Anthony was his kindness. He had a warm and caring nature, always ready to lend a hand to those in need, and he had a gift for making everyone feel valued. His empathy, compassion, and humor created lasting bonds with friends and family, and his love will continue to inspire us all.
Michael Anthony is survived by his parents Michael and Lynda, as well as his, extended family, and many friends who cherished him. His legacy of love, intellect, and creativity will forever remain in our hearts.
