Peter Yurkowski

Peter Yurkowski, 94, of Manchester, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at Hampton Ridge Nursing & Rehab Center. Born in Poland, Peter had lived in New York City and Brooklyn, NY before moving to Manchester 20 years ago. He was a Postman for the USPS in NY for over thirty years. Peter was a Korean War Army Veteran who proudly served his country and was awarded the Purple Heart and other combat medals.

Post retirement Peter and his late wife Eugenia enjoyed traveling the world. He loved to go bowling, play bocce ball, horseshoes and shuffleboard, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his three children, seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

A visitation for Peter will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 24, 2024,11:45 am at St. Stephen Ukrainian Catholic Church, 1344 White Oak Bottom Road, Toms River. A committal service will follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, 62 Cedar Grove Rd, Toms River, at 1:00 pm.
