Philip Cardinale, 86, of Berkeley Twp., passed away on July 15, 2015 at Aristacare in Manchester. Born in Newark, NJ, he lived in Irvington for many years before moving to Berkeley Township in 1995. Philip worked for Irvington General Hospital for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He was a former volunteer for the Irvington Fire Dept. and also a communicant at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River.
Philip was predeceased by his brother Angelo Cardinale and his sister Theresa Cicchetti. He is survived by two sisters; Janet Polito and Concetta Cardinale; his niece Nancy and her husband Joseph McDonald; his nephew Joseph Polito; and two grand nephews Matthew and Michael McDonald.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 19, 2015 from 1 to 4 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday July 20th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover, NJ.
