Salvatore "Sam" Giacone

Salvatore Giacone “aka” Sam who was 89 years old died on Friday September 20, 2019 battling cancer and heart problems for 2 years. Sam was a hard worker over the years. He worked for Paul’s Trucking then developed two business’s, Salvatore & Son and Salgia Builders, Inc Construction. His heart was helping handicapped children and those who had cancer. He formed an organization called the “Tree of Life & Hope” which was his passion. He had many Fundraiser’s that raised money for the children that needed help. Sam was a hard knock guy with a heart of gold. He loved his loud gigantic family very much never a dull moment. He will be missed by all.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Giacone of 49 years,His four children:

Edward Klauder Jr. “Buddy” and his wife Mary Ellen from Hope, NJ

Suzanne Goyette from Toms River, NJ

Alison Occhifinto and husband Nicholas from Blairstown, NJ

Christopher Klauder and wife Diane from Howell, NJ

14 Grandchildren,15 Great grandchildren and 3 Great Great Grandchildren

Visiting will be held on Tuesday September 24th from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm, A prayer service will be held 10 am Wednesday at the funeral. Entombment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
