Amber Elizabeth May Blatchford

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Amber Elizabeth May Blatchford on October 26, 2025. She was born in Toronto and predeceased by her parents Robert Blatchford and Wendy Sanders. Amber grew up in St. Thomas, Ontario and moved back to Toronto to attend Seneca College where she graduated in Early Childhood Education. She worked for Kids and Company until health issues forced her to leave.

She was greatly loved by her Aunts and Uncles, Janice Sanders of Toronto, Tom (Michelle) Sanders of Lindsay, the late Bev (Randy) Bagley of Bradford and the late Joan (Doug) Morris of London. She is missed by her best friend Stephanie Samanica whose family became her second family. Amber made friends wherever she went and will be missed by all for her smile and positive disposition towards life despite the many adversities she faced.

Thanks go out to the Dialysis Team at Sunnybrook Hospital and to all her health care providers that worked so hard to improve her quality of life.

A memorial service will be held for Amber on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at St. Matthew the Apostle, Oriole Anglican Church: 80 George Henry Blvd. North York, M2J 1E7 at 11.00 a.m. with Visitation at 10.00 a.m., followed by a reception at the church and interment at York Cemetery: 160 Beecroft Rd,. North York, M2N 5Z5.
