Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Tony was predeceased by his wife, Clementina “Tina “(1998), his sister, Angelina (2003) and his brother, Antonio (2010). Loving father to Rose (Bill) and Danny (Loretta), proud Nonno to Anthony (Charlene), Christopher (Cynthia), Adam (Emily), Tyler, Michael and Kathryn and devoted Big Nonno to Taylor, Cameron, Carter and Cruiz.
Sadly missed by his sister, Maria.
Tony immigrated to Canada from San Fele, Potenza, Italy in 1951 and in the years that followed sponsored many members of the Russo and Nero families. An industrious, big hearted man who loved working with his hands and, most of all, enjoyed the company of his family.
The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to Teresa Payuan for the care she provided to Tony.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Kane-Jerrett North York Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St. (South of Steeles Ave.) Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family service will be held with entombment to follow at Holy Cross.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
