I just heard of Anthony's passing.  My condolences to the family.  I worked with Anthony at BMO.  My memory of him is that he was such a gentleman.  Always friendly and caring.  I was so shocked to hear that he has passed away.  

I had spoken with him around the time that he was just starting his treatment and was hopeful that he would win the fight.  So sorry for your loss - earth has lost an amazing and kind person.

We are sorry to hear about Anthony's passing and our condolences to the family. I remember growing up on Hope Street next door to the Bellicoso brothers.  Anthony always encouraged me to join in on a soccer or hockey game but I was always too shy. His kindness and gentle nature will be missed. 

I only had the pleasure of working with Anthony for a couple of years, but his kindness, warmth and compassion has stayed with me since. A true gentleman, and a source of wisdom and experience to be treasured. …….also on a particularly cold visit from London he was the first person I’d ever seen enter a bank with a balaclava on! Rest in peace Anthony and my thoughts are with all those you left behind.

Whenever we were at Robyn’s and Anthony would appear, it was such a pleasure to engage him in conversation.  He had the most affable personality. Sending my love to all who know and love Anthony.  In my eyes, Anthony embodied all that a loving friend and family member could aspire to be.  He welcomed me warmly and always had an open heart.  His memory will live in the love and kindness of his family and his friends.

I am proud to say Anthony was my friend and neighbour at Drag Lake. Over the years we have shared many casual conversations of hopes, dreams and worries, as you do in the relaxed atmosphere the lake can provide. I could often hear Anthony enjoying working away at something on his property – Elisa at his side, both hard at it and giving it all they had.  We’d wave from our docks, chat when passing in the canoe – with always a positive kind word from Anthony. We spoke about our families, traded travel and work stories but always ended with a laugh.  He kindly took the time to meet with one of my Sons in downtown Toronto when my Son was looking for direction in his career – that was Anthony. I saw Anthony as a caring and gentle true family man - yet solid, decisive and the sort of man you knew you could count on. 
I have clear memories of Anthony diving off his dock into the lake at the end of the day in the silence, his head would pop up on the calm surface with a refreshed sigh. That is how I will remember Anthony. Bless you Anthony. You will live on in my memories and will most certainly be missed.


A compassionate and strong leader. A fair and distinct gentleman. A loving, kid-at-heart, and generous human being. Anthony was not only my manager at BMO for 5+ years but a mentor and truly a father-figure. He challenged me in my work to strive for -/+ 1% error, something I will always aim for. He shared his knowledge, outlook and business acumen that you’ll never learn from a textbook.  Anthony always advocated for work-life balance and the importance of family. And he was never too busy to talk about my family or his. To the Bellicoso family, Anthony’s love and devotion to you all was evident in the many wonderful stories he shared with us - his work family. I send to you all my deepest condolences and my prayers. Anthony’s legacy lives on, throughout you all and the countless of individuals he has made an impact on throughout his life. I’m grateful for all the opportunities and lessons I’ve learned from Anthony, both professional and personal.

Anthony has been my close friend since our days at Western Technical and Commercial School.  We studied together and had fun together.  I was always welcomed at his family's home on Hope Street. I felt like one of the family when I was in their company, and in Michelina's family.

Anthony and Michelina helped us celebrate our wedding as the Best Man and Maid of Honour. Later they baptized our first-born son Alessandro. 

He enriched my life as a friend, a study partner, and a mentor.

I worked for Anthony at the Bank of Montreal from 2017-2019, and his influence on me is permanent. Anthony took a chance on me when I needed a change in career, and I learned so much from him over those two years. Anthony was a kind and firm but fair manager who always understood that while work is important, family and friendships come first and should be nourished. I saw Anthony treat his team at the bank like they were his family, always ready to stop and have a conversation and remember something that a team member shared with him years ago! Anthony's smile was infectious, and he lit up the room with stories from his past, stories about his family and his philosophies on life. He had a way of taking really complicated things, and making them simple. Anthony was someone I really looked up to as a role model of what a good leader and father could be. He was taken too soon - but I know he is shining his light down on us, and I know I will never forget his kindness to me. My sincere condolences to the Bellicoso family for your loss.

I was fortunate to have  worked in  Anthony's Team at BMO and have cherished memories, which will live on. He was a  soft spoken gentleman. He  was a family man to the core and  understood  his staff  when we shared our issues about our family. He always enquired about our family. He was approachable and  always concerned. I last met him on his last day in office  when he came to clear his desk, during Covid Times.

 I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Anthony for several years.  While the memory of work has faded, my memory of Anthony is very strong.  To this day I can recall his kindness and support when I joined the team and how he always “checked in” to see how I was fairing.  Regardless  of corporate pressures Anthony always listened, provided support and guidance while bringing levity through his sense of humour and perspective.  He was a terrific mentor, coach and friend who I had the pleasure of crossing paths with.  I never had the chance of meeting you Micky or your girls but learned so much about you through Anthony.  My sincere condolences to you all.

Anthony could always be counted on to say the right words at the right time.  His quick wit, kindness, and words of encouragement have made a lasting impact on me and many of his colleagues. To have known Anthony was to have known the true definition of a true friend, a doting father, a loving husband, an incredible brother and amazing son.  He most recently added to the list by becoming a caring and adoring nonno.
There are no words to describe the grief and void by his passing but there are words to describe who Anthony was.  He was loving, caring, funny, loyal, smart, compassionate, thoughtful, helpful, successful, worldly, witty, a man of many talents and the list can go on.
We shared many family gatherings and outings together and each one of them is now held as a very dear memory and we are thankful for that.
Anthony, you were an inspiration to your little brother Peter. You were, are and will always be his hero.  You were his protector. He’s always been proud to call you his brother.
Your nephews Mark and Steven will forever hold you dear in their hearts and will always remember the times camping, weekends at the cottage and family dinners with their zio.
You always referred to me as your little sister as I’m the youngest of the sisters in law.  You always made me laugh till I couldn’t laugh anymore. Your guidance was always on point.  And for that I am thankful.

I remember one of the many trips Anthony and I took to China.  We were at the Great Wall of China and the locals all wanted pictures with him.  He was so tall compared to them that they thought he was a famous basketball player!  Rest In Peace

A true gentleman from the day I first met him so many years ago. His warmth, humour and loyalty to friends, colleagues and family will be fondly remembered. I told him that he was the "old man" in our relationship as he was born 2 days before me and he told me he was much wiser given his age advantage. We laughed at the silliness two adult men could have teasing each other. We worked together for many years and he taught me so much about being present, sincere and compassionate. During a particularly difficult time in my son's life, Anthony gave me the encouragement and strength to not give up and I will never forget the impact of his words of wisdom. I will miss you my friend. Condolences to the entire extended Bellicoso family especially the love(s) of his life Micky, Daniela and Elisa.

My heartfelt condolences to Micky, Daniela, Elisa, Matthew, Baby Anthony and to all of Anthony’s family.  I told Anthony recently how fortunate I was when I started my career at TD over 35 years ago to have been a part of his team and how thankful I was for his friendship over all these years.  So many wonderful fun memories.  I am also thankful that he, Marianne and I were able to get together last Thanksgiving for brunch.  There were serious conversations but also, as always, lots of laughs!! He had the greatest sense of humour!  Anthony was a kind, generous and caring man who loved his family deeply and was so proud of Daniela and Elisa and an over the moon Nonno to his grandson Anthony. Words cannot express how sad I am that we lost a such a good friend. A friendship of 35+ years. I consider myself to be so fortunate to have Anthony in my life and to be able to call him a friend.   Through the years, we shared many laughs, We all loved his terrific sense of humor. From his many trips to New York with his tech team to a trip to London, in 1987,   (where I almost enrolled us in the ‘death’  registry in a church, thank goodness he  stopped me) to the many fun staff gatherings.  We once met by chance at Newark airport, he  was with his uncle,  changing planes, we said  we wouldn’t have met if we planned it, talk  about being in the right place and the right  time.  Anthony always had time to meet me  for a coffee or lunch when I travelled to  Toronto.  He shared Family happenings, from the births of his children to Daniela’s wedding, what a proud Dad.  He was so proud of Daniela and Elisa’s accomplishments.  He was thrilled to be a grandfather and so honored to have his 1st grandson named after him. 
I will miss my friend and know that he will be watching over all of us and will continue to laugh with us.

Deepest condolences to the family.  Anthony will always be remembered as the kind and gentle person he was. I met Anthony while I was helping plan his daughter Daniela’s wedding. I’ve met many families in this line of work. From the first time I met Anthony ( and the rest of the Bellicoso Family) the kindness that came through his eyes was so strong. After every meeting I had with him, I would tell my colleagues what a kind man he was. 
I will never forget that he called me a few days before the wedding, he told me how proud of his daughter he was and how much making that day special for her meant to him. He also took more time than anyone ever has to thank me for my help and let me know how much he appreciated my work.  He was also the only client to ever come and offer to have lunch with me and his daughter.  Because of this foundation, I have always kept in touch with the Bellicoso’s through Daniela. I am truly saddened to hear of Anthony passing and express sincere condolences to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. I knew from the day I met him that he was a special man.  May he Rest In Peace, and May the beautiful memories he leaves behind offer some comfort to his family during this difficult time. 

It was so special when we (Vince, Bob, you and I) were able to reconnect after 40 yrs  since  High School.  We reconnected with our wives and had many laughs and told many stories. 
We will miss your smile and friendship and we promise to stay in touch with Micky to continue our friendship and tell more stories.

Our dear friend Anthony will be greatly missed, but the memories he leaves behind will never be forgotten. I can't tell how sad I was to learn of Anthony's passing.  We at Global Trade Operations remember the kind and gentle person  he was.   He bridged the gap with his down to earth conversations at the coffee machine, or the elevator, and it didn't matter who or what your role was at BMO. 
I particularly remember his kindness and caring attitude when,  one day we were working late at 250 Yonge, he saw us while passing by and immediately turned to inquire if we had our dinner, and wanted to order us some pizza! He was that special person we were truly blessed to know.

Last Saturday afternoon while walking the dog we get a phone call.  We’ve been waiting for the dreaded news for a few days now.  It’s been almost a year since we began to hold our breath and to pray that maybe you too could overcome the adversity.  To our surprise, your lucid voice is coming through clearly: You want to say your final goodbye; You want us to know that you love us; You want Steve to know that you’ll be looking out for him from up there; You want us to know that you are ready to go.

You have been a class act from the day I met you and this last phone call with you is the absolute icing on the cake that was and will always be our friendship.  

We discovered that our connection was deeply rooted in our Sicilian origins and later that Boon and Goodwood corner became yet another link that we shared and cherished.  The stories were many and the laughter always close-by.  

When Daniela called me this morning I thought I knew what the call was about.  Yet it was after her second call that I truly understood: She displayed the same dignity and strength wrapped up in kindness and humor that I always saw in you.  Also, her sense of reason was balanced well by her belief in tangible spirituality.  I know that you have always been proud of both your girls.  Their achievements shone brightly on your face.

As much as you loved your daughters, your brothers and extended family, there were three people that made it extra hard for you to accept the inevitability of your situation:  your beloved friend and wife (Micky), your grandson (Anthony) and the promise of an unborn grandchild that you will follow from the heavens above.  Rest assured that we will continue to love and care for them in your memory.

It was too soon to see you go, but know that you leave behind you a formidable legacy of love and your name will always remind us of the goodness you demonstrated.  Rest In Peace my dear Friend

Dear Anthony, you were such a caring person and a gentleman with a guiding light. We both joined BMO around the same time in 2003. I still remember our first meeting at a BBQ at FCP in 2003 and the last meeting at 250Y in March 2020. You made such a lasting impression on common people. You walk up to people with a smile that makes anyone wanting to look up to you. You were a role model, a caring leader. This is just an example of how caring you were to us. During March 2020, when many of us started WFH, you were still working on the floor. Due to COVID scare at that time, you kept inquiring about how we were doing each passing day. We were no longer part of your group but you continued to treat us as your own. You even carried a box of sanitizers and left in our area so we don’t run out of it. On the last day I worked onsite, you were leaving early and came up to me while I was on a phone call and left a sticky note with your cell phone number asking to call you any time if I need anything. That was the last time I saw you. I can’t believe you left us so early. May your soul rest in peace. My heartfelt condolences to the grieving family and loved ones.

I never got the chance to thank you for everything you did for me while we worked together. You taught me to believe in the good in people....to strive to be a better person and to put others first. Your example of being a good friend, father, and grandfather provides me, to this day,  the benchmark by which I will be measured.
