Mr Antonio Francesco Amelio

Passed away peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinson's and Alzeimer's on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Baycrest Hospital at the age of 86. Loving husband to Jean, father to Isabel (Gianluca) and Jason (Raquel), and grandfather to Olivia, Kiara, Sophia and Francesca. Devoted to his sister Marietta (the late Mario) and brother Domenic (the late Delia) as well as his brothers and sisters-in law Benny (Maria), Monica (Tony) and Ray (Adele). Dearly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and their respective families. Antonio was a kind, gentle, and loving soul. He was a gentleman and optimist. But above all he loved to play pranks, be in the great outdoors, spend time in his garden and be with his family. Antonio will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends both in Canada, US, and in Italy. Special thanks to Villa Colombo Day Program, the Memory Clinic at Toronto Western Hospital and to the dedicated May Rose Torres, PSW. Their love, support, and commitment helped bring dignity and respect to Antonio in his latter years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Villa Colombo Day Program or Sick Kids Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
