Bruce William Holmes

He is survived by his spouse of 64 years, Gail Holmes, his children Dianne Samler (Tom Whiteway), Andrew Holmes (James Brown) and Michael Holmes, his grandchildren Sarah Woodason (Justin Woodason), Rebecca Thompson (Alix Thompson) and Ryan Thorne, and great grandchildren Jack Woodason and Lincoln Thompson. He is survived by his sister Glenys Whiteway (Edward Whiteway).

Bruce is pre-deceased by his parents William and Lily Holmes.

Bruce will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who was devoted to family and friends and loved every moment he spent with them, he will be remembered for his love of the outdoors particularly fishing and hunting. He enjoyed woodworking, often building and repairing things around the house, reading and swimming.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff for their compassionate care at Humber River Regional Hospital.

Visitation will be held on Thursday September 19, 2024, from 4pm-8pm.

Funeral Service will take place on Friday September 20, 2024, at 1pm in the Chapel.

Please join the family in a reception at noon prior to the funeral.
