Dionisios Potamianos

Denis was born to the late Thrasivoulo and Athina Potamianos on March 23rd 1934 on the Island of Kefallinia. He spent much of his youth in Greece, prior to enlisting in the Navy. His journey led him to Montreal Canada, where in 1964 he met and married the love of his life, Vasso Tournas.

Denis was a dedicated husband, father to Marino and grandfather. After retiring he shared in the responsibility of caring for and the raising of his grandaughters Alexandra and Chloe. His influence in their lives is reflective in the way in which they lead theirs; humility, compassion and respect for all that God created are values that they learned from their grandfather.

We take solace in knowing that he was fortunate to have celebrated 50 years of marriage to a woman who adored him, grateful to have been blessed with a son who cherished his every word, and proud to have been blessed with granddaughters who cherished the time they spent with him . The glow that radiated from him when his family walked in the room will be missed, however, what remains is the beautiful feeling of being so loved. That will never go away, it will carry us through for the rest of our lives.

Denis will be missed and we are saddened by our loss, the positive impact on our lives is not lost in his passing.
