

She was a devoted wife, mother, mom #2, Nana and sister. She will be deeply missed by her husband of 55 years Ronald, her sons Trevor (Lila) and Kevin and her grandchildren Alexander and Melanie. She will also be remembered by her sisters Elizabeth Lindstrom (Harold) and Eileen Raven (Ken) along with her extended family and friends.
She joins in heaven, her parents Harold and Mary "May" Ferguson and her brothers Ernie and Eric.
Edna was a life-long devoted scouter. In her youth she was a Girl Guide and eventually became a Girl Guide leader. Later after having her sons, she joined the Scouts as a leader and mentor, and never looked back. She loved nature and would encourage youths to engage in outdoor activities. She taught them to do their best and to leave the environment better than they found it. She has been recognized multiple times over her 52+ years of service to the scouting movement. 'Greywolf' will be missed by her Scouting family.
Edna was an animal lover with a soft spot for cats. During the Christmas season, she enjoyed making her homemade chocolates. Edna also enjoyed knitting and was known for her blankets.
Visitation for Edna will be held on Thursday May 22, 2025, from 10 to 11 am at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Her Celebration of Life service will follow at 11 am. Interment will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Garden Lane in North York. Reception will follow at Thornhill United Church 25 Elgin Street in Thornhill.
