Predeceased by the love of his life, Rosaria (Caira) and adoring son Carmine.

Loving Papa to Francesca, Cristina and Marcello (Teresa).

The greatest joys in his life were his grandchildren: Lydia (Dave), Ricky (Cristina), Matthew, Rosemary (Peter), William, Katie, Erin (Allan) and Amanda.

Special Nanu to his great grandchildren Chelsea, Aimee, Ricky, Jaxon, Michael and great-great grandchildren Emily and Harley.

Loving brother to Santa, Eugenia, Anna, Rosaria and proud Zio and godfather to his many nieces and nephews that he both adored and was adored by.

Born in Rende, Cosenza, Italy on April 8th, 1927 and married the love of his life in October of 1945. With his first three children in tow, he immigrated to Canada in 1956 and remained a proud Canadian until the end. He had sought a better life for his family and achieved it.

He enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends, gardening with his wife Rosaria until she passed in 1981 and he especially loved spending time with his many nieces and nephews.

His greatest pride was his family with whom he enjoyed many gatherings, meals and celebrations. His friends and family will remember him for his kind and gentle nature and his joyful spirit always with a smile on his face and an encouraging word. He was a humble man, both shy and outgoing at the same time - loved by everyone who met him.
