It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Linda Comrie, who died on December 30, 2025.
Linda brought a tremendous amount of life and excitement to everyone around her. She was the life of the party, the planner of adventure, and the bringer of the best chaos—the kind that left people laughing, feeling closer, and full of stories they’d tell for years.
Linda was deeply devoted to her friends, and her friendships were a source of strength, laughter, and community throughout her life. After meeting Linda for the first time, people immediately liked her and trusted her—often opening their hearts and turning to her for guidance on personal challenges. Her true superpower was noticing the person on the edges—the one who might be alone or quietly carrying something heavy—and responding with genuine thoughtfulness and care. If someone needed to be included, remembered, supported, or simply checked on, Linda was the one who did it.
Linda worked in real estate for 35 years, where her energy, warmth, and tenacity made her both successful and deeply trusted. She was a natural connector who put people at ease quickly, understood what truly mattered to them, and helped them move forward with confidence. She did very little advertising—her business was built on the human touch. Clients spread the word because they knew Linda would serve them with honesty and care.
Linda also loved to travel, particularly going on cruises with her husband. Their journeys took them to many parts of the world, where they met new friends who remained an important part of her life long after the trips ended.
For the past ten years, Linda was a snowbird, spending her winters in Dunedin, Florida. She loved the warm weather, the sun on her face, the sand in her toes, and the sound of the ocean. A central figure in the Dunedin social scene, she formed deep friendships that became an important part of her life, and she never missed an opportunity to party.
Linda was born and raised on Avenue Road in Toronto and attended Oriole Park Public School. As a teenager, her family moved to Willowdale. She remained in Willowdale for the rest of her life, living on the same street and becoming a well-known and trusted real estate agent in the community she called home.
Linda loved her cousins, and they became part of her close family. She loved them so much that, on every opportunity, she would travel to their homes to join the party—no matter what country they lived in.
Linda loved her family more than anything in the world.
She was predeceased by her father, Jess Richard Comrie, and her mother, Elfriede Comrie. She is survived by her beloved husband, Mike; her sons, Dave and Chris (Kate); and her cherished grandchildren, Maia, Hailey, and James. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne (Trish); her nieces and nephews, Laura, Richard, Emily, and Leanne; along with many cousins, extended family, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON M2M 4K4, on January 13, 2026, with the following schedule:
• 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Visitation
• 11:00 AM: Service
• 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Reception at the funeral home
• Burial: To follow after the reception
Thank you, Linda—for the fun times, the fun trips, the laughter, and the bold, beautiful way you lived. We will cherish these memories for the rest of our lives. You are beautiful and your light will shine forever.
