Predeceased by her beloved husband William (2021) to whom she was married for over sixty-five years. Loving mother of Catharine Saynor and Lindsay Spencer (David). Devoted grandmother of Jaime (Le Van) and Alanna Orr, Calla Spencer James (Brandon) and Michael Spencer (Ally). Loving great grandmother of William “Liam” and Abigail James, and Emilia and Charlotte Spencer. Predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Steve Collyer.
Marilyn was a graduate of the St. Michael’s Hospital School of Nursing Class of 1955. She was a lifelong member of the Havergal Old Girls Association and devout member of St. John’s York Mills.
The family extends their sincere thanks to the staff of Sunset Manor for the excellent care they provided to Marilyn.
A service of Celebration and Thanksgiving will be held in the Anglican Church of St John’s York Mills, 19 Don Ridge Drive, Toronto at 11 a.m. on Monday March 7, 2022. Internment in St. John’s Churchyard.
The family gratefully declines flowers and requests that any memorials be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
