December 21, 1958 - December 26, 2023
Mary passed away peacefully at home just a few days after celebrating her 65th birthday.
Mary was predeceased by her father Antonio and her mother Adelina. She lived with her sister Anna and enjoyed going for dinner at her niece and nephew’s houses.
Mary enjoyed singing and dancing very much. The Bee Gees, Celine Dion, and Whitney Houstion were her favorites, among many others. She also loved doing arts and crafts.
Mary attended the Community Living Toronto workshop for 25 years and then volunteered at People for Education. Mary's volunteering became a source of joy and pride. There, she enjoyed putting stamps and labels on 5000 envelopes, which she filled with newsletters and mailed to all of the public schools across Ontario each month. She was very well liked by Annie Kidder, Jacqui Strachan, as well as the rest of the staff who made her feel special. In addition to her work for the team, she showed her love with her elaborate tissue paper art which they would display proudly.
Mary enjoyed going on trips with her sister Anna and also enjoyed going out with the Personal Support Workers who took care of her, especially Jennifer and Sade.
Unfortunately, Alzheimer's took all that away and she was no longer able to do any of the activities that she loved. She will forever be remembered for her giggles, laughter, and impact that she made on those around her. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to People for Education.
Viewing will be on January 8, 2024 at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home at 6191 Yonge Street at 10:00am. Service will follow at 11:00am.
Private Interment to Forest Lawn Mausoleum at 4570 Yonge Street.
