Mama suffered a stroke three years ago and never regained her speech nor her mobility. She lovingly stayed with us and helped us to heal after her stroke and then quietly decided it was time for her to go home. God saw the road was getting rough and the hills were hard to climb, so he closed her weary eyelids and whispered, "Peace be thine."
She was born to the late Louis and Annie Davis, St. Thomas, Jamaica.
Myrtle, affectionately known as Mama, loved her family dearly, which included her children, Marvetha,
Robert (Bobby), Meserete (Lucky), Joslyn (Junior), Sonia, Marcia, Andrya and Nicola (Nikki),
Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Nieces, Nephews, in-laws, friends and acquaintances.
Myrtle (Mama) was an avid gardener and an excellent host who loved to plan celebrations for every occasion throughout the year, especially her birthdays which she celebrated with family and friends. Her "rum cake" was on everyone's wish list and she did not disappoint. She loved watching the "shopping channel" and her soap operas.
Mama those who loved you in life sincerely, will love you in death just the same.
