

Reini grew up in Switzerland, where he obtained his engineering credentials. He married his love Claire Widmer on September 6th,1952, emigrating to Canada on October 1st. of that year on their new life’s adventure.
He is survived by his loving wife and best friend Claire; their three children,daughters Doris Dixon and Monica Bennett (and husband Mark) ,and son, Peter Zobrist (and wife Gloria); their four grandchildren Allison Blanda (and husband Sean), Matthew Bennett (and wife Kirsten Benneter), Stephanie Zobrist (and husband Jeff), and Nicholas Zobrist (and partner Ayanna Boyce); and their three great-grandchildren, Quinn Blanda, Marceline Blanda and Marshall Zobrist.
Reini obtained a BSc (Mechanical Engineering) degree from the University of Toronto in 1955 and joined Alcan Canada the same year. He worked his way into Senior Management positions in Toronto and Montreal, with World-Wide experience and responsibilities.
He loved fishing, hunting and skiing, was an accomplished Glider and single engine pilot and an avid golfer. Wherever he was located while working, he participated fully in the community and engaged life to the fullest. Above all, Reini was a family man enjoying every opportunity for gatherings and trips. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Celebration of Life to be held on April 19th at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto Visitation at 1pm. Service 2pm.
