She will be deeply missed by her husband of 34 years Dan, her sister Angela (Kiki), her sister in law Pamela, her nieces Tanya, Renee (Jason), nephew Eric, and grandnieces Alora and Olive. She will be fondly remembered by many cousins, friends, and co-workers.
Rose was predeceased by her parents Alois and Lydia Homiak.
Rose was a long time employee of the Royal Bank of Canada for over 40 years. She was devoted animal lover, especially feral cats and helping with spaying and neutering. Rose was a member of the Tobermory Yacht Club. Rose loved to cook and care for her family. She will also be remembered for her devotion to Mickey Mouse and her collection of Mickey Mouse throughout her home.
The family would like extend their deepest thanks to Sunnybrook Hospital, specifically the Odette Cancer Centre and the Palliative Care Unit.
Visitation will be held on Monday August 14, 2023 from 4-8 pm at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Funeral Service will be held the following day on Tuesday August 15, 2023 at 12 noon in the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Thornhill.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rose’s memory to the Sunnybrook Hospital Odette Cancer Centre.
