It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Roy Earl Witty in his 89th year, peacefully at King City Lodge on March 14th, 2014. Roy, loving father to Tom (Jan) and Earl (Wanda), also a husband, a step-father, a grandfather, a great-grandfather, and a brother. He doted on his extended family and will be missed by all. Roy grew up on the family farm and tried his hand at farming till the arrival of his two sons forced him to leave farming and enter the automotive business working at B & A Motors, Parkwood Cadillac Chev Olds and Plaza Pontiac Buick. After leaving the automotive business he went to work at York University, Keele Street Campus, where he enjoyed helping both staff and students pursue their goals.
A lifetime member of the Church of Christ, Roy was known for his singing and his love of his Lord. One of the great joys in his life was his service as a Deacon of the Strathmore Church of Christ.
