Mr. Sun Yee Won

Passed away peacefully on April 24, 2015 at Mount Sinai Hospital. Beloved husband of 55 years to Wai Bing (nee Kwong). Loving father of Louise and Andy; and father in law of Bill Magner. Proud grandfather of Dylan and Nigel. Survived by his mother Mee Hung Won, sister Shirley (Bannister), brother in law Greg and their children James and Emma. Predeceased by his father Fong Jung Won.

Sun Yee was born in Guangdong province, China where at the age of 15 with his mother he moved to Northern Ontario to join his father. He married and settled in Toronto.

Sun Yee was a devout Buddhist and was often at the temple and he was deeply proud of his grandchildren.

A funeral service in celebration of Sun Yee's life will be held on April 30, 2015 at Jerrett funeral Home, 6191 Yonge St. The visitation is from 9:30am-10:30am and a Buddhist funeral service commencing at 10:30am-11:15am at the funeral home chapel. A private cremation service will be held at Forest Lawn Crematorium.

A celebration of life reception will be held at 12:30pm at Dragon Pearl Restaurant, 865 York Mills Rd, North York.
