Loosing someone you love is never easy. Loosing you pulled the rug from under my feet and left me gasping why. Not a day goes by where you're not in my thoughts and I don't find myself not missing you and wishing I could see you again. People say it gets easier with time, but it still feels like a nightmare that I'm unable to wake up from. 

I love you Susie. You're always in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you for being my guardian angel, I'll never take that for granted.

When I was a stranger you welcomed me.
When I was deeply troubled you tried your best to understand me and to give me consolation. Then the time came for our paths to veer off in different directions, but over the years I have often thought about you. Sometimes I even imagined myself unexpectedly meeting up with you at the mall or somewhere, and I supposed that right away you would want me to update you on all that had happened. Then I would imagine all of the good things I wanted to tell you because you had the effect on me that made me want to be all that I could be. Thank you for believing in me when my life depended on it. I only discovered this moment the news of your passing. I was listening to that song by Joan Osborne called "What if God was one of us" and I heard something in her voice, saw something in the expression on her face that reminded me of you. Then I typed your name and did a search for you on the internet. Here you are living on in the hearts of all of your friends and family members. How honoured I am that at some time you counted me among them. I once wondered and you promised that no matter what we would always be friends. You live forever in my heart. You are a part of who I am.

My Dear Sweet Susie:

Susie…..since you left us, I've spent a great deal of time focused on regret and missed opportunity, on all the things that we did not do, and never will do, like the trip we were planning to Paris, and going back to Fort Lauderdale, where we once had such a good time, soaking up the sun and sharing many fun times back in the ‘80's. These are moments in time that are now fond remembrances and flashbacks, which will always be treasured and remembered.

It's been a very difficult time without you and each day brings more recollections and a feeling of melancholy that you are not near.....words cannot express how much I miss you and IF ONLY, I was able to understand what you were thinking and feeling during our last days together, which at times have haunted me.

In the past six months, closer to your one year anniversary.....my vision and overall outlook has shifted somewhat in trying to realize that you are in better place and no longer suffering.

You are our special Angel always surrounding us, giving us strength, keeping us close and focused and watching over us from above.

Susie...I remain sad about losing you. I miss you each and every moment of every day.....then I remember your wonderful Smile which says it all!
