Joseph "Joey" H. Gomes

Born December 30, 1974 as the only child of José H. Gomes and Margarida M. Gomes, Joey enjoyed entertaining the Portuguese community with his music, songs, and dances. He was truly a natural and it has been said that he was born with the Mandolina in his hands.

Joey is survived by his mother Margarida M. Gomes as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, and beloved friends.

He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Henry and Mercedes Gomes and José L.M. DaCosta and Maria Conceição DaCosta, his beloved uncles Valdemiro Galuxeiro Costa and Antonio Galuxeiro Costa, and his aunt Seferina Inacio. Joey was followed shortly in death by his father José H. Gomes on June 9, 2018.

A visitation will be held jointly for Mr. Joseph “Joey” H. Gomes and his father José H. Gomes starting at 3:00 PM on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church: 2713 S. Grove Avenue, Ontario, California. Following the visitation, there will be a recitation of the rosary at 4:00 PM and a funeral mass at 4:30 PM.

They will be laid to rest during a graveside service at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 15, 2018 at Bellevue Memorial Park: 1240 West G Street, Ontario, California.
