

Arthur (Art) Clarence Bauknecht, of Tyler, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024 at the age of 97. He was born in Alliance, Ohio on January 25, 1927 to the late Arthur Henry and Josephine Bauknecht. He was preceded in death by his living wife, Ruth and his son, Gary.
His memory will be kept alive by his children, Rebecca Bauknecht, Guy (Olga) Bauknecht, Barbara Ward, Russell (Anita) Bauknecht, Thomas Bauknecht, and Mary (Chris) Curtin; grandchildren, Quintin, Olivia, Spencer, Brent, Kristin, Michelle, Todd, Matthew, Nicole and Cooper; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Elliot, Beckham, Josephine, Collette, Avery, Charlotte, Mark, Maria, Josh, Nathan, Issac, Sarah, Patrick, Jaxson, Travis, Luca and James.
Art was a WWII Naval Veteran. He was an avid Salesman, highlighted by his success through his specialty advertising company, A & R Marketing. He will forever be remembered as “The Balloon Man”.
Art will be remembered for his quick wit, laugh, loving nature, and never-ending support. “It works if you work it.” “ One day at a time.”
A Memorial service will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E. First St., Tyler, Texas 75701 on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.
