

Betty Jane Robinson, age 83, of Tyler, passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 23, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 26, 1928 in Ft. Worth, TX to Walter and Daisy Dugger; they preceded her in death. Betty attended Texas Christian University worked at the Fort Worth Star Telegram and worked in the home building business in Ft. Worth before moving to Tyler in 1966. She met and married Dr. David Robinson and together they shared nearly 40 years of marriage. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2007. Betty owned and operated Betty Robinson Interiors for many years. She was a founding member and president of the Four Seasons Garden Club and the president of the Symphony League of Tyler, the Cltu Mea Club of Tyler and the Smith County Medical Alliance. In her free time, Betty loved gardening, antiquing, and she never gave up her love of interior design. She was a long time member of Marvin United Methodist Church in Tyler. Betty leaves behind a legacy of love, hard work, and dignity that will forever be cherished by those she leaves behind.
Betty is survived by one son, Kirt Allen Kibbee of Tyler; daughter, Tracy Williams of Ft. Worth, and daughter, LeeAnn Tatum of Dallas and husband John. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Jack Katie and James Tatum.
The family will welcome visitors at Lloyd James funeral Home from 6-8 P.M. on Friday, August 24, 2012. The funeral is to be held at Lloyd James funeral home at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, August 25, 2012 with Reverend Stephanie Hughes of Marvin United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery with Bill Cleneay, Dr. David Fletcher, Dr. Dick Knarr, Dr. Steve Roberts, Dr. Don Smith, and Marty Stitt serving as pallbearers.
