

Funeral Services for C. W. “Dub” Mayo, 79, of Tyler are scheduled for 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 27, 2015 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Bro. James Cheatham officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Dub passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 in Lindale.
He was born on September 17, 1936 in Jacksonville to the late Carroll William and Stella Jackson Mayo. Following graduation from high school he attended Tyler Junior College. Dub served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He was employed in the maintenance department and pest control at Tyler Independent School District for 23 years. He enjoyed fishing and planting a vegetable garden and being with family and friends. Dub was a member of the Carmel Baptist Church in Lindale.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Larry Wayne Mayo in 2003; brothers, George Mayo, Grover Mayo, William Mayo and Bob Mayo; and sisters, Jo Jones and Edith Magee.
Dub is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Betty Mayo, of Tyler; son, Rick Mayo and his wife, Kim, of Bullard; grandsons, Nicholas and Mason Mayo, of Bullard and Robert Mayo, of Arp; sister and brother-in-law, Oletha and Billy Hill, of Jacksonville; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Millie and Wayne Danner, of Arlington; and many nieces and nephews.
