

She was born June 7, 1944 in Stuttgart, Arkansas to the late Thelma Mae Perkins and Jessie Royal Perkins. She spent her childhood between Arkansas, North Dakota, and Wyoming. She graduated from Powell H. S. in Powell, Wyoming, and made her way to Texas where she achieved an Associate's degree in Nursing Home Administration from Tyler Junior College in Tyler. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority Texas chapter.
Car was the life of the party and loved being so! She was most known for her spunky personality, her sassy style, her infectious laugh, her adoration of friends and family, her passion for music and animals, and her love of shopping!
She also shared the love for God and was a member of Lane's Chapel Methodist Church in Tyler.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ivy, and her brother, Lamar Perkins.
Those left to miss her include her daughter, LaShawn Perkins Dingler and husband Jimmy Dingler; granddaughter, Laeni Socia; step-grandchildren, Tyeler Franklin and Baylee Franklin; niece, Amber Ford; two great nephews and many more family and friends.
Those wishing to join in the celebration of Car's life can join the family at Lloyd James Funeral Home, Wednesday, November 16, for visitation from 6-8pm. Services continue Thursday, November 17 at 2 pm, with entombment following at Cathedral of the Pines in Tyler.
