
Memorial services for Clair Gorman, 83, of Tyler are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 8, 2010 at Lloyd James Funeral Chapel with Msgr. Joseph Strickand under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home.
Mr. Gorman passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born on April 26, 1927 in Bristow, Oklahoma to the late Frank F. and Vee Matheny Gorman. He attended Oklahoma University and graduated Cum Laude from Southern Methodist University in 1951. He served in the U. S. Army, 187th Parachute Infantry Regiment 11th Airborne Division. After graduation from SMU he worked in oil and gas exploration. He loved classical music, old movies and dancing. He also enjoyed reading and history.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jamye Sanders Gorman.
He is survived by wife, Joan Gorman; son, Brian Gorman; daughter Leigh Konrardy; step daughters, Vickey Davis and Jacque Graves; grandchildren, Russell and wife Amanda, Jeff, Molly, Alex, Bailey and Brooke; great grandson, Dalton; step granddaughters, Elissa and Tiffany; step grandson, Shannon Ross; step great granddaughters, Jasmine and Madison; several nieces and nephews and his friend, Sam.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Alliance, 211 Winchester Dr., Tyler 75701.
